Skye Taylor
General Manager

Gday! I am Skye, and I’m from Adelaide where I have lived my entire life. I can tell you the must see things to do whilst you are here. My best tip is to head to Glenelg via the tram, where there is plenty to see and do and enjoy the beach lifestyle. When I am not in the office, I am busy with my toddler twins or training for marathons or skydiving if the weather cooperates! I am always happy to listen if you want to talk.

Kate Barker
Customer Service Officer

Hello, I am Kate. I am Australian and I love to travel. I have been to over 30 countries and enjoy meeting new people and learning about other cultures. I am always planning my next adventure. My hobbies include photography and following my favourite sporting teams. As part of my role I assist with planning the Res Life calendar and am always on the hunt for new ideas, let me know if you have any great ideas for your fellow residents to participate in.

Carmen Li
Customer Service Officer

My name is Carmen. I am a Guest Service Officer at Atira Waymouth since the property was opened on 1st Feb 2018. I was born in Hong Kong and came to study in Adelaide 15 years ago. After I have finished my study, I have decided to stay in Adelaide for good as I enjoy the laid back life style in Adelaide compared to the busy life style in Hong Kong. When I am not at work, I usually spend all spare time with my son and family.

Christina Fang
Resident Assistant

Hey friends! My name is Christina. I enjoy listening to music and meeting new friends. I’m an extroverted girl with ambition to achieve my dreams. Just like most of you guys, I’m an international student. Facing exactly same challenges as you all do, which is why I joined the RA team. Hoping that we can meet each other in the near future and exchange all the great experiences! Don’t hesitate to come over and chat with me!

Elena Hsieh
Resident Assistant

Hey, I’m Elena and a doggy lover. I’m studying Event Management in TAFE SA. I love to travel and meet different cultures, and I really enjoy life in Adelaide. I’m from Taiwan, so I speak both English and Mandarin. Always welcome to say hi or have a chat with me!

May Jean Yap
Resident Assistant

Hey there! I am May Jean, and I’m from Malaysia− a multicultural country! Being an international student myself, I can interrelate the challenges to adapt to independent living in a foreign country. Therefore, I’m happy to provide peer support for residents within the community. I can tell you the best way to counter homesickness is to participate in our Residence Life Events! When I am not attending classes, I am busy with Uni club activities or exploring Adelaide hidden gems or trying out new recipes at home!

Megan Ahamed
Resident Assistant

I make jewellery out of paper, clay, and homemade bioplastic. I love horror movies, gaming, and indie pop/folk music. I love the arts which include singing, playing guitar and the usual puppies, rainbows, and unicorns. In my spare time, I learn software for Illustrating and 3D modelling. I’m interested and involved in a lot of diverse projects so feel free to catch me for a chat about almost anything! I am always here to listen.

Sheny Lee
Resident Assistant

Hi there I’m Sheny! I come from Taiwan and have been in Adelaide for over a year now! I am studying Bachelor of Accounting and in my free time, I like to play the guitar or go out and have fun somewhere either watching movies or exploring nice beaches outside the city. If you see me around you can always come say hello because I am more than willing to have a chat with you and hear you out!

Irfan
Resident Assistant

Hello, I’m Irfan! Coming from India, I have been living in Adelaide since the past couple of months. I am a student of the Masters of Architecture program at the University of South Australia (City West Campus) which is a two-minute walk from Atira! Apart from the University, you will find me busy making friends and working part-time at Atira. To take a break from the course work, I participate in extra curricular activities held by the University, play my favourite sport – cricket, explore beaches around the city and go out clubbing on weekends! A quick break does no harm as it helps me to refuel for the challenges coming my way! Always happy to lend an ear or have a quick chat!
