Where’s your favourite place to travel?
My husband and I campervanned around Europe for 3 and a half months, so my favourite place in Europe is probably Andorra. Most people ask ‘Where is that?’ It’s tiny and hidden in the Pyrenees. It’s between Spain and France. We went in from Spain, around Andorra and into France. We were there in Winter and it was snowing, it was amazing. We were driving down the road and there were people skiing next to us. It was really beautiful, it was just before Christmas, so all of the Christmas decorations were up.
What do you get up to when you’re not at Atira Waymouth Street?
I’m a bit of an amateur photographer. I generally avoid people in my photos, I’m more into architecture and landscape scenery. In the last 10 years I’ve done about 30 countries. As for my favourite spots. I was staying in Brussels and went to Luxembourg for the day. It was pouring rain but it was really beautiful. Bits of Italy are really nice, Monte Carlo was really cool, I went there for the Formula One Grand Prix. I sat on a bus for 2 days to get there, but it was worth it. I’ve been to the South of France in Cannes when it was snowing, so there was snow on the beach. Coming from Australia, that’s amazing.
What’s the weirdest thing you’ve eaten?
I’m pretty keen to try most things. I’ve had haggis in Scotland and black pudding in the UK. I’ve had snails but not in France. I’ve eaten jellyfish, octopus, crocodile, but bugs freak me out though, and I wouldn’t be keen to eat scorpions or anything like that.
I read Chick Lit pretty much, light fluffy stuff. Murder mystery too.
My favourite movies are polar opposites. Dirty Dancing and the Fast and the Furious movies.
