I’m Chinese, so having some Chinese staff helped me a lot to adapt to this environment very quickly. All of the facilities here are great, but I really like how big the gym is.
The reason I decided to live here was because of the staff. They’re very familiar with my culture, they’re approachable and really make me feel like I can reach out to them at anytime. That’s why I chose to live here. The location is great, it’s convenient and close to everywhere. University, restaurants, the city, shopping, I have easy access to all of it.
I feel very safe here, the security is really good. The apartments are new, and there’s excellent equipment for our use all over the property. I’ve also made some strong friendships, and we all like exploring Brisbane.
It’s like a big family here. Our events are special, and it’s a great chance for different people from different countries to come together. It's a really cool place to live while studying.
Living here isn’t just about accommodation, it’s more than that. There are so many social activities and that’s my favourite part about living here. You make new friends, not just with the residents but with the staff too.
As soon as I walked in, I said ‘this is where I want to be, this is amazing.’ The building itself is amazing, the rooftop, the media room, the theatre room, and my favourite, the games room. It’s a great place to be, especially for first-year students, and even more so for me, coming from a place outside of Brisbane.
